Scanavo Opens New Office in the Heart of New York City

Dan Aoki, Director of Sales & Marketing for the Americas at Scanavo, and Matthew Marone, Business Development Manager at Scanavo, shares the exciting details surrounding the new NYC Scanavo office:

What motivated Scanavo to establish a new office in New York, and can you share some insights into the market synergies that led to this decision?

Dan: New York offers a vibrant base for the entertainment industry and Scanavo can tap into a strong base of industry professionals as we expand. Scanavo has a wealth of customers with a presence in NY and there are also key industry events taking place, so it is only natural for Scanavo to establish a commercial set-up on the US east coast. An added benefit is the time difference of only 6 hours to our global HQ in Denmark. 

The process of making a Scanavo New York City office a reality?

Dan: Scanavo has long wanted a presence in the US, and we felt it makes sense now as we expand into collectibles. 

Matt: When it came to finding the right space for us… What’s the old saying? Location, location, location? We wanted to find a space where creative juices could flow and where our clients could easily get to us, or us to them. Though it took some time, we found our New York City home in Midtown East.

How will this be a game changer for Scanavo, our clients, and align with Scanavo’s growth ambitions in the collectors/premium business for media entertainment?

Dan: To be closer to our customers is key for our business and to be able to showcase our product portfolio and services in person in New York is vital. We are not only able to work closer with customers, but we are also able to connect the global Scanavo team better with this added location. 

Matt, could you share a bit about your background and why you are the perfect fit to strengthen Scanavo? As our new Business Development Manager, how do you plan to use your experience and industry background to contribute to the success of both Scanavo and our clients?

Matt: From kicking around Koopa Trooopas with my dad, running through numerous rounds of Blood Gulch with my friends, to sneaking past Clickers at one in the morning, video games have been my life. So when I was asked twelve years ago to join a team to help bring to life some of the most iconic franchises in video games, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. And I haven’t looked back since.

Fast forward to today, where I’m excited to say I’m officially part of the Scanavo family. The team here is truly amazing! I look forward to sharing my many years of experience and knowledge with each of them as we continue to build and push boundaries in the world of collectibles and collector’s editions.
